We are delighted to share the news that Reimagine Tuam, a project by Helena McElmeel Architects in collaboration with Creative Places Tuam and Niall O Cleirigh, has been shortlisted for a RIAI Public Choice Award!
The Public Choice Award is the only architectural award in Ireland decided by public vote. It invites people to recognise the buildings and places that enrich their everyday lives – from homes and schools to public spaces, community hubs, and vital infrastructure. This year’s shortlist reflects the importance of architecture in shaping better futures.
This year, 124 projects were submitted, and 48 of these projects were shortlisted. This includes 21 in Dublin, 20 across Ireland and 6 internationally. We are so proud that Reimagine Tuam, and the important work examining vacancy in Tuam, is being recognised.
To cast your vote, visit the RIAI website, choose Reimagine Tuam and click “This gets my vote”. Voting closes on Monday, 16 June at 5pm.
