The West’s Awake Community Weekend needs you!
The West’s Awake Community Weekend, running the 19th and 20th August, seeks volunteer Tuam Town Ambassadors. Do you love your town? Want to show it off, and let people know about hidden gems? Then this is the role for you!
Ambassadors will be a direct point of contact for visitors and locals alike, sharing their local knowledge to make sure everyone has a brilliant experience of the Community Weekend.
If you are interested in engaging with and assisting people to enjoy the Community Weekend, get in touch. Do you care about the history, culture and social life of the town? This is your chance to share that with others. Ambassadors will promote the town in the positive light it deserves. Greeting the public, sharing insight into where to get a coffee, a bite to eat or a place to walk, having the chats and directing people to events and venues programmed throughout the weekend – we need you!.
This is a volunteer role. Ambassadors will attend a short briefing session and receive a West’s Awake Ambassador pack. A minimum 2 hour commitment is required during The West’s Awake weekend.
